One final move

Ok.  So.

The site is back up but issues are still not resolved so I'm quitting it.  The domain name will be mine until the end of the year so it may reappear one day, but for now I want rid.  And much as I looooove this template, I have managed to recreate my own blog on blogger, and Riff's blog will soon be to follow.  So, my blog is now:

Thanks for following me around.  I just loved the template of my old blog so much i had to make it again, and at least I can maintain my blogs from one account with blogger.  And to Elanna, if you're reading, I'll email you to say thanks.

Progress over-all

Well, the ass-holes at my service provider finally got back to me to say my index file was overloaded and that I had to modify the code (????) and empty it (????).  When i asked them how i was supposed to do that when they wouldn't let me get into cpanel…they didn't respond.  So…I think if the situation isn't resolved tomorrow I will quite the VerminRealm site.  It's been so much hassle and, much as I'm proid of it, it's taken up too much of my time.  I will miss it very much.

 Now Riff still wants a site and what Riff wants Riff gets. But I would very much like to make it look like the last one.  Does anyone know of a free blog site that will be easy for me to modify the html.  The only two I can find are Mindsay and blogger, but Mindsay, whilst easy, I don't think you can allow people to leave comments, and I struggle to modify the blogger template.  Any suggestions?

I can’t pretend that I’m happy

Because I'm not.  I'm furious.  I tried to access my website account today and received a message saying my account has been suspended.  No email to tell me why.  No notification of any sort – just a message to contact billing/support.  Which is easier said than done, seeing as my host lies about it's 1 hour response to emails and doesn't pick up the phone. I was immensely proud of my website and I think the chances are it's gone.  Gut feeling.  There shouldn't be any problem because of the billing, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the real problem is the spam attack I had last week.  The terms and conditions state that accounts that give out spam will be suspended and whilst the spam didn't originate from me they probabl clogged up the server.  There was also some talk of a fine for people doing that…so I'm woried about that too. Even if the issue is resolved, I am seriously considering saying goodbye to the site.  It's taken up a lot of my time and there have been so many problems.  I think I'll just cancel it, have a regular blog, maybe a blog for my life-list and maybe a blog for Riff, and just leave it there.  I can't carry on with this crap any more.
